Thanks to its bohemian roots, Ibiza is well-known for its excellent street markets. Holidaymakers and locals alike can’t get enough of the island’s original hippy market, Las Dalias, located on the outskirts of San Carlos. Here, you can find stalls selling jewellery, handicrafts, Balearic-inspired fashion and a whole lot more – it’s well worth setting aside an afternoon so you can explore all the items on offer at this must-visit market. Elsewhere and Sant Jordi market takes place every Saturday, not far from the airport. Much like a large, outdoor flea market, everything you can imagine is sold here, from clothes and furniture to stuff you would never expect! Up north, and the hippy market in Es Canar is a sprawling, more tourist-focused market selling art, crafts, and handmade wares. Avoid going during the hottest hours of the day, when the sun’s heat makes browsing impossible! Also check out Cala Llonga, where on Saturdays in summertime, a small, pop-up market appears on the main promenade selling trinkets and souvenirs you can take home as holiday mementoes; and Santa Eulalia (Santa Eularia), where every Sunday the main boulevard transforms into a farmer’s market where artisans and local farmers sell produce from the island.
