Best IbizaNightclubs

Of all Ibiza’s attributes, there is one thing that the island is more famous for than anything else: clubbing. Home to some of the best nightclubs in the world, Ibiza has become the planet’s number one party destination and it’s a crown that’s well deserved.

There is nowhere else on earth that offers the diversity of nightlife available on the white isle – from open-air daytime festivals and all-night-long club fiestas, to intense techno parties and laid-back hip-hop nights, there’s a party and club to cater for every taste. Regulars to Ibiza will know exactly where and when to get their musical fix, but for the uninitiated, here’s a rundown of Ibiza’s biggest and best nightclubs.

Amnesia Ibiza

Originally opened back in the 1970s, Amnesia in San Rafael remains one of Ibiza’s most visited and cherished nightclubs. There are two main rooms: the main room and the terrace, the latter of which was open-air until the 1990s, when local authorities insisted a roof was built on all outdoor club spaces. The techno-heavy, harder sounding DJs tend to play in the main room, while the terrace is where the biggest name DJs unleash musical magic. It’s a true Ibiza clubbing experience wherever you happen to have planted your feet, but don’t worry, if you’re not a fan of dance floors, there’s an excellent VIP balcony. Don’t miss the Amnesia opening and closing parties, elrow, and Pyramid.

Pacha Ibiza

Officially Ibiza’s oldest nightclub, and undisputedly, the most glamorous, Pacha in Ibiza Town (Eivissa) has decades of illustrious clubbing history behind it. But that’s not to say it’s stuck in the past, because this iconic Ibiza club still plays host to some of the most popular club nights on the island. From Marco Carola’s Music On on Fridays to Solomun’s +1 on Sundays, they’re two of the biggest draws for party-goers every weekend. Line-ups here are always the most awaited of any summer season. Oh, and the Pacha dancers? The best you’ll see at any nightclub in Ibiza.

Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Club

This world-famous, open-air venue in Playa d’en Bossa changed the face of clubbing in Ibiza forever. Responsible for a shift towards daytime clubbing, the sun-kissed, festival-inspired vibes at Ushuaïa have made it one of the most popular clubs on the island. Popular parties run seven days a week, and while there’s an EDM-heavy focus (think Calvin Harris and David Guetta), there are also parties like ANTS, which adds a solid dose of house and techno for the more discerning clubber. A superclub that’s undeniably put Bossa on the map, no trip to Ibiza is complete without a night spent here, especially if you’re looking for VIP treatment.

HÏ Ibiza

Named best club in the world by DJ Mag in 2022, HÏ Ibiza is a relative newcomer to the island but has wasted no time setting the bar for unique clubbing experiences. Located just across the road from Ushuaïa in Playa d’en Bossa, HÏ is a high-tech, well considered superclub space that boasts some of the best sound systems on Ibiza. There are toilets you can dance in; luxury VIP areas serving nonstop champers, and some of the most famous DJs in the world behind the booth. Don’t miss the joint 24-hour opening and closing parties with Ushuaïa; Glitterbox; and Saturday nights with Black Coffee. Drink prices might make you weep but it’s worth it.

DC-10

Ibiza’s coolest and most musically underground club, DC-10 is set amid the island’s beautiful salt flats, right beneath the flight path, so you see planes swooping in to land while you’re sidestepping on the dance floor. A world-class sound system, unbelievable line-ups, and an incredible atmosphere make at least one night here a clubbing must on any white isle holiday. It’s also home to Circoloco every Monday night throughout summer, which is a legendary Balearic club night, and one that has left a deep legacy in the island’s clubbing history.

Akasha

Word is that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks but not so in the case of Akasha, a club that’s been around for a long time within the walls of Las Dalias near San Carlos, but has recently had a floor-to-ceiling refurb. The result is a world-class club and sound-system that rivals any superclub on the island. The music program is as wild and eclectic as the crowd, which makes every night spent here an unpredictably fun ride. The decor is akin to a club space in Berlin or London, and fortunately for locals, it’s open all winter long. Sven Väth is a regular. What more do you need to know?

Cova Santa

Coming with GHL Ibiza founder René Heinz’s seal of approval, Cova Santa is a spectacular outdoor venue in San Jose and an impressive blueprint for Ibiza clubs. By day, party alfresco, sun beating down on your face; by night, move into the smaller underground space where sound reverberates intimately from wall to wall. Or, if you’re an entrepreneur with two kids, head home to bed, ready for work the next day!

Lío Ibiza

The most all-singing, all-dancing of Ibiza clubs, Lío is located in the glittering surroundings of Marina Botafoch just outside Ibiza Town. Expect fine dining to collide with cabaret to meet a post-dinner club night – this is Ibiza nightlife at its most glamorous and captivating. As a result, expect a jet-set crowd dressed to the nines, all admiring the sparkling views if Dalt Vila and Ibiza Town across the water in the distance.

Ibiza Rocks

Most famous for bringing rock’n’roll to Ibiza’s shores, these days Ibiza Rocks has shifted more to a pool party focus. Located in San Antonio, it’s made daytime dancing even more fun by throwing a swimming pool and inflatables into the mix. The line-ups always surprise, just don’t expect indie bands to be appearing again any time soon. Not that it matters, as long as there’s a piña colada to be drunk nearby.
