Perched above the dazzling coastline of Ibiza, this newly built villa near Cala Salada is a stunning contemporary villa designed …
Many people associate San Antonio exclusively with wild, noisy nightlife and rowdy behaviour on the beach. In recent decades, the permissive and somewhat unrestrained behaviour of young, mostly British clubbers has resulted in this west coast tourist hub garnering a reputation as a den of iniquity. There are, however, beaches near San Antonio which are generally quiet and have retained their charm. One such example is Port des Torrent, a cove at the end of the Bay of San Antonio which is relatively small but has a fairly fine sandy beach.
The sea is a wonderful shade of blue, and there is a shallow slope into the water. The beaches of Cala Bassa and Cala Conta are also worth a visit. In summer, they can be reached by boat from the port of San Antonio. Apart from its bustling nightlife, San Antonio also offers a wealth of daytime activities, both on land and in the water. Enjoy a boat party off the coast, or try your hand at jet skiing, parasailing and many other watersports. Equally as famous throughout the world are the sunsets from “Sunset Strip”: a colourful crowd listens to cool music and sips cocktails while the sun sinks into the sea.
In winter, peace returns to San Antonio. A family atmosphere pervades the town, appreciated by both visitors and locals. For culture vultures, the monumental fortress church is a must. It is over 700 years old.
