On summer mornings in Cala Tarida, early-morning exercise and activities are the name of the game. Visitors to the beach play volleyball, practice qi gong, or fly kites. Others enjoy a relaxing early morning dip, while waterskiers curve along the coast and brightly coloured pedal boats move leisurely through the water. Cala Tarida has a sheltered location and is surrounded by rocky platforms. It has been one of Ibiza’s most popular holiday destinations for decades.

The fine, sandy beach is mainly frequented by the guests of nearby hotels. If you have kids, this is the place for you. Watersports fans will also find a wide range of activities on offer which leaves nothing to be desired. The fascinating underwater world is also ripe for exploration. During the day, Cala Tarida has a lively bustle, but as evening approaches a more peaceful atmosphere prevails. If you are looking for a good spot to admire the impressive sunset over the water and offshore islets and to enjoy a good meal, head to restaurant “Cas Milà”, which is located on the hillside above the bay. The restaurant opened in 1982, and is still a family-owned business. It serves traditional Mediterranean dishes with a modern twist and seafood specialities. Cala Tarida is just six kilometres from San José.
