Knowing that you will have access to a good-quality healthcare system is a big consideration when moving abroad. It’s important to know what you and your family are entitled to, so consider consulting your doctor about this before moving to Ibiza. As a resident of Ibiza, you and your family will be able to access public healthcare and hospital treatment if you need it, though you may have to wait. Waiting times for appointments and treatment can be long, and staff shortages can slow things down. It might also be a good option to take out health insurance because it’s a good way to cut down on waiting times for non-emergency procedures and future-proof your family’s healthcare provision.
LIFESTYLE
There are plenty of exciting activities that you can do with your kids in Ibiza and if you are looking for a healthy lifestyle, Ibiza is the right place to go! The beautiful weather means that life is lived outside for much of the year. Ibiza offers plenty of opportunities to get out, meet people and simply enjoy life. Life also evolves on a slower mood. Adjusting to a slower pace of life sounds easy, but it can be frustrating at first. Time is elastic here on the island, especially when it comes to appointments, and three or four people ahead of you in a queue could mean a very long wait before it’s your turn. Here’s a tip – plan ahead and accept that what you hoped to do today may have to wait until tomorrow!
