San Josep is one of the few places in Ibiza that remains lively and offers a functioning infrastructure outside the turbulent summer season. It is not one of those places where the electricity is turned off in the winter; quite the opposite. Here, the bars, restaurants, banks and supermarkets are open all year round and look forward to welcoming customers and guests.
After Sant Antonio, Sant Josep is the second largest town in the west of the island. It is not on the sea, but thanks to its hillside location it offers impressive views down to the west coast and its famous sunsets. If you are offered a property in Sant Josep with views of Sant Antonio, don’t think twice; its distance from the sea also offers other advantages. The humidity in rooms and wardrobes, for example, remains within manageable limits. Its more central location is also an advantage when you look at the distance to other important places. For example, it is just a few minutes from Sant Josep to Sant Antonio or to the beautiful beaches of the west coast. It’s just 15 minutes to the airport, and around 25 minutes to Ibiza Town, the island’s capital.
