The island is a very popular holiday destination, thanks to its beautiful turquoise sea, stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife. For all these reasons there’s no surprise that the demand for holiday accommodation is soaring, turning Ibiza in the ideal investment opportunity. If want to invest in the Ibiza property market there are a few things that you should consider first – location is key and before investing you should always look through the eyes of your ideal clients.
Families coming to the island are usually looking for a more laid-back holiday than a group of friends. Families are less interested in the buzzing nightlife, typically preferring the quieter villages. Ibiza’s current rental hotspots for families are the charming village of Santa Gertrudis, the area of Santa Eularia or the more central area of Sant Josep. Families are looking for nice gardens for the children to play in, with no steep drops or too many stairs. Child safety is mandatory, so you might also want to think about gates for the pool.
A group of friends coming to the island are usually looking for diversion and fun. They will probably prefer a villa close to Ibiza Town, near the area of Playa d’en Bossa or the exclusive Es Cubells, which boasts some of the most highly priced rentals. A popular sized property may have five or six bedrooms making it ideal for a big group of friends. Smaller groups usually stay in hotels.
